RECIPE FOR CHICKEN PIZZA

Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

For the Toppings:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken (grilled or shredded)
  • ½ cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Red chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead into a smooth dough.
  • Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a baking sheet or pizza stone inside.

Prepare Toppings:

  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, or your choice of spices (paprika, garlic powder, etc.).
  • Sauté onions and bell peppers lightly if desired.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Roll out the dough to your preferred thickness. Place it on parchment paper for easy transfer.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base.
  • Add chicken, onions, bell peppers, and mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning and chili flakes on top.

Bake the Pizza:

  • Transfer the pizza to the preheated stone or sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve:

  • Slice and serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
